2014 N.C. 1A Football Power Ratings

Welcome to my overall ratings page.  I will be updating these records by every 
Thursday night during the season.  To determine the predicted point spread for 
a game, simply take the difference between the two teams' ratings, and add 2
points for the home team.

These ratings are based on several factors, including win-loss record, schedule
strength, and margin of victory in games.  The most recent games are counted 
with slightly more emphasis than those played earlier in the season.  Forfeits
ARE reflected in the records, but ARE NOT included in the power ratings, or
strength of schedule rankings.


Notes: 

1) 1A Pender forfeited to 4A Laney in week 1.

2) 2A Hunter Huss forfeited to 1A Bessemer City in week 3 for use of an 
ineligible player.  Huss won the game on the field 21-6.

3) 1A Kestrel Heights forfeited to 1A Atkins in week 4.

4) 1A Trask has been banned from this season's playoffs for exceeding the
season ejection limit in their week 8 game against West Bladen.

5) Ind Q Foundation forfeited to 1A Winston-Salem Prep in week 10 and to 1A
Robbinsville in week 11.

6) 1A Albemarle forfeited 7 wins as a result of the use of an ineligible
player: 2A West Stanly(week 3), 1A East Montgomery(week 4), 1A Chatham Central 
(week 5), 1A South Davidson(week 6), 1A North Moore(week 9), 1A North Stanly
(week 10), and 1A Union Academy(week 11).

ratings (1 is strongest and 77 is weakest)
