2019 N.C. 1A Football Power Ratings

Welcome to my overall ratings page.  I will be updating these records by every 
Thursday night during the season.  To determine the predicted point spread for 
a game, simply take the difference between the two teams' ratings, and add 2
points for the home team.

These ratings are based on a mathematical formula involving several factors,
including win-loss record, schedule strength, and margin of victory in games. 
The most recent games are counted with slightly more emphasis than those
played earlier in the season.  Forfeits ARE reflected in the records, but ARE
NOT included in the power ratings, or strength of schedule rankings.


SS = strength of schedule rankings among the 72 1A teams included in these
ratings (1 is strongest and 72 is weakest)

Notes:  

1) 1A Highland Tech got a forfeit win over Commonwealth in week 2.


2) 1A Christ the King forfeited to 1A Thomas Jefferson in week 4 due to low number of players.


3) 2A First Flight forfeited to 1A Camden County in week 6 due to use of an ineligible player.


4) 1A Jones Senior forfeited to 1A Riverside(Williamston) in week 7, to 1A Pamlico County in week 8, to 1A Tarboro 
in week 9, to 1A Southside in week 10, and to 1A South Creek in week 12 due to low number of players..


5) 1A East Columbus forfeited to 2A Red Springs in week 7 due to low number of players.
