2014 NC Independents High School Football Power Ratings

Welcome to my overall ratings page. I will be updating these records by every
Thursday night during the season. To determine the predicted point spread for
a game, simply take the difference between the two teams' ratings, and add 2
points for the home team.
These ratings are based on several factors, including win-loss record, schedule
strength, and margin of victory in games. The most recent games are counted
with slightly more emphasis than those played earlier in the season. Forfeits
ARE reflected in the records, but ARE NOT included in the power ratings, or
strength of schedule rankings.
Notes:
1) Give-N-Go Fellowship was unable to field a team this year and forfeited all
their scheduled games. Teams that have received forfeit wins include:
Lake Norman Storm(week 2), Carolina Wildcats(week 3), PG Lions(week 4),
Hickory Hawks(week 5), Carolina Pride(week 6), Carolina Gladiators(week 7),
PAC Panthers(week 8), Anderson Cavaliers(week 9), Pageland Central(SC)(week
10), Sandhills Titans(week 11).
2) My ratings do not include the score for Ind Word of God Academy's win over
Ind Greensboro Panthers in week 1 because I don't know the score.
3) Ind Forsyth Country Day forfeited to Ind Cannon School in week 3 and to
Ind High Point Christian in week 9.
4) Ind CFA Academy forfeited to Ind Davidson Day in week 9, to Ind Southlake
Christian in week 11, and to Ind Victory Christian in the first round of the
NCISAA playoffs.
5) Ind Q Foundation forfeited to 1A Winston-Salem Prep in week 10 and 1A
Robbinsville in week 11.
