2016 NC Independents High School Football Power Ratings

Welcome to my overall ratings page.  I will be updating these records by every 
Thursday night during the season.  To determine the predicted point spread for 
a game, simply take the difference between the two teams' ratings, and add 2
points for the home team.

These ratings are based a mathematical formula involving several factors,
including win-loss record, schedule strength, and margin of victory in games. 
The most recent games are counted with slightly more emphasis than those
played earlier in the season.  Forfeits ARE reflected in the records, but ARE
NOT included in the power ratings, or strength of schedule rankings.


SS = strength of schedule rankings among the 36 independent teams featured in
these ratings (1 is strongest and 36 is weakest)

*  = record contains forfeits


Notes:

1) 1A East Carteret gained a forfeit win over Ind Harrells Christian in week
1 - the game was never played.

2) Ind North East Carolina Prep forfeited the following games: 1A Pamlico in
week 7, 1A Gates County in week 8, Ind North Wake Saints in week 9, and Ind 
Kestrel Heights in week 10 - the games were never played.

3) Ind Greensboro Panthers forfeited to Ind Trinity Christian in week 11 - the
game was never played.

4) Ind Southlake Christian forfeited their playoff game to Ind Christ School
in week 12 due to lack of available players.

5) Ind New Covenant Knights forfeited to Ind North Wake Saints in week 14 - the
game was never played.
